The History of Lumisphere

Lumisphere Products Ltd was formed in 1989 specifically to service the decorative lighting industry with an innovative product, the Lumisphere Low Voltage Festoon system. This unique product was developed to combat the problems associated with the wide spread use of mains voltage festoon such as water ingress, high running costs and short lamp life. It quickly established a world-wide reputation for quality and performance and has won many awards including the much coverted Lighting Industry Federation design award in 1993 and the similarly respected Paul Waterbury Award of Excellence for Outdoor Lighting.

Since then the company has continued to pioneer, introducing new systems to provide cost effect, low maintenance lighting products. Lumisphere prides itself on a vast technical knowledge base, fast and efficient service and the highest quality product range at competitive prices

Lumisphere produces over 50,000 metres of festoon lighting every year!

Lumisphere exports all over the world including USA, Japan, Singapore, Australia, Europe, Malaysia, Canada and Russia!

Lumisphere has developed the very first LED festoon system that consumes a tiny 0.4w of power for every light unit and an anticipated life of 80,000 hours!!

The installation of the Lumisphere X24 festoon system on the famous Harrods Frontage is estimated to save some 450,000,000 W hours of electricity every year!

The Lumisphere X24 Xenon lamp has an anticipated life twenty times that of a GLS mains lamp!

Over four thousand light units were needed to recreate the 'FANTA' logo on the world renowned Blackpool Tower!
